As they point in their website, most OER initiatives are solely based on enhanching the creation, access and use of Open Educational Resources, but most of those initiatives do not focus on helping individuals and institutions to develop the Open Educational Practices needed to ensure a full implementation of the use of OERs.
The guide is composed of 3 parts:
- Guidelines: they introduce the concept of Open Educational Practices (OEP) and provide a guide on how to improve Open Educational Practices (they also present 3 tools to assess the maturity level of organizations in relation to its adoption of OEP).
- Lansdcape: this document presents and defines the concept of Open Educational Practices (OEP).
- List of elements: elements which, together, make up best practice in the implementation of Open Educational Practices (OEP).
