This is a short post to announce that UOC UNESCO Chair Fifth International Seminar: Fighting the Digital Divide through Education, which is to start next monday in Barcelona, has just closed his programme with some news.
Unfortunately, Mr. Bakary Diallo, Rector of African Virtual University, wont be able to attend the Seminar due to agenda problems. In his place will be Susan E. Metros, from University of Southern California, will feature a very interesting intervention titled Visual Literacy on the age of the Big Picture.
In addition, we have confirmed the presence of Mariana Patru, from UNESCO division of Higher Education, to give the openning remark with Inma Tubella, Rector of Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
Finally, we have also confirmed the names to participate on the Roundtable about the Digital Divide in Spain. Besides Begoña Gros, who will moderate the roundtable, the conversation will be enabled by Javier Nó, from Universidad Pontifica de Salamanca, Pedro Aguilera, from Fundación Esplai and Tíscar Lara, from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.
